We have 180 places available in year 7 each year. The process for admitting pupils in September 2013 is now underway. We held our Open Days in September and October, 2012: parents applied for schools places for their children thorough their Local Authority using the Common Application Form, either on line or on paper. Allocations were made at the beginning of March, 2013, and every parent informed about which school their children had been allocated to. During the Summer Term, families are contacted and informed about the induction and transition procedures for each school. The families of children allocated to Walworth are therefore being contacted in the normal way.
Parents can not gain admission by applying directly to secondary schools for their children: all applications must go through the Local Authority of the place where their child lives. Parents are strongly advised to ask for help from their child’s primary school about this. Please note that Walworth has no supplementary forms and co-operates with the London-wide secondary schools admission process.
If, for any reason, you have not already applied you must immediately contact your home Local Authority for advice. For Southwark residents, please go to: Southwark admissions team
