Walworth Academy Celebrates Record-Breaking GCSE Success!
Walworth Academy is today celebrating a landmark set of GCSE results, with students achieving the strongest outcomes in the academy's history and significant improvements across every key performance measure.
The exceptional results reflect the determination, resilience and ambition of Walworth students, supported by the unwavering commitment of staff, families and the wider academy community.
Principal Jessica West said:
"Today is a day of immense pride for our entire community. Our students have demonstrated extraordinary commitment and resilience, and these results are a testament to their hard work and ambition. We have seen improvements across every headline measure this year, with outcomes significantly above national averages in a number of key areas. These results demonstrate that our young people are leaving us equipped to thrive in whatever pathway they choose next."
This year's outcomes represent a significant milestone in the academy's journey, with students securing outstanding results across a wide range of academic and vocational subjects. Performance has strengthened in every measure, reflecting the academy's relentless focus on high expectations, exceptional teaching and ensuring every student is supported to achieve their potential.
Students achieved particularly strong progress in maths, English and the humanities, which included the first ever cohort of students taking Religious Studies for GCSE. The academy's broad and ambitious curriculum continues to deliver outstanding opportunities for young people, enabling them to secure strong qualifications and progress confidently to the next stage of their education.
The results also reinforce the growing success of Walworth Academy Sixth Form, with a record number of students progressing within the academy and external places becoming increasingly competitive.
Walworth Academy congratulates all students on their achievements and thanks staff, families and the wider community for their continued support. The academy looks forward to welcoming students back in September as it continues its mission of ensuring every young person can achieve exceptional outcomes and go on to lead successful and fulfilling lives.
