From Walworth to World Class!

Walworth Academy Students Secure Exceptional Results and Outstanding University Destinations

Walworth Academy is celebrating another year of exceptional sixth form success, with students achieving outstanding outcomes across A Level and vocational qualifications and securing places at some of the country's most prestigious universities.

This year's results reflect the ambition, resilience and determination of Walworth Academy students, supported every step of the way by dedicated staff, families and the wider school community.

Particular strengths can be seen across the academy's academic provision. Mathematics students achieved impressive results, with 40% of all grades awarded at A or A*. The Social Sciences continued their remarkable tradition of excellence, with Sociology, History and English performing at a level likely to place them among the top 10% of providers nationally.

Students are now progressing to an exceptional range of destinations, including Durham University, the University of Bristol, the University of Manchester, SOAS University of London and University College London (UCL), demonstrating the high aspirations and strong outcomes that characterise Walworth Academy's sixth form. Not only this, but a record number of students have also succeeded in securing highly competitive degree level apprenticeships with elite employers such as Hill Group and Turner & Townsend.

Alongside these academic achievements, vocational students have also excelled. Students on the IT Practitioner programme achieved strong outcomes, with more students than ever before progressing to Computer Science, Software Engineering and related degree programmes at university, highlighting the growing strength of the academy's technical and digital pathways.

Among the many individual success stories are:

  • Jack Wang, who achieved an exceptional A*AA in Physics, Mathematics and Further Mathematics. Jack will read Physics at Manchester next year.

  • Imane Abbas, who secured straight A grades in Economics, Psychology and Geography. She will progress to LSE to read International social and public policy with Politics

  • Sofia Magnotta, who completed four A Levels with an outstanding A*AAB and will be continuing her studies at UCL.

Principal, Jessica West, commented "We are immensely proud of our students and all they have achieved. These results are the culmination of years of hard work, resilience and ambition. They reflect not only the commitment of our young people, but also the dedication of our staff and the unwavering support of families. The students have embraced every opportunity available to them and leave Walworth Academy ready to make their mark on the world. We wish them every success in the exciting journeys ahead."

As Walworth Academy looks ahead to the coming year, it remains committed to delivering an excellent education that empowers every student to achieve ambitious outcomes and build the brightest possible future.
